Mullein - Königskerze

(Verbascum thapsus)

The mullein (or gordolobo) is a biannual plant that grows in warm and enlightened locations, in sunny slopes and margins of roads, on the shores of streams, mounds or meadows. It can reach up to 1,5m tall. The stem of this plant can easily be distinguished in the distance by its branching candelabra-shaped and its bright yellow sulphur round flowers. These appear during the second year of life of the plant between the spring and early autumn.
